Museum of Da Nang, Work in Progress on Site, September 2023

After an architectural competition in 2016 studioMilou has been appointed in 2018 to design the architecture and the exhibition of the Museum of the city of Da Nang. The museum proposes the adaptive reuse of a colonial administrative building and a extension creating a museum of 14000m2 unfolding a refreshing courtyard full of trees. Within this simple concept, the project will explore a very rich facade composed as a layering of many architectural element textures, coloured as local rattan fabric, screening the tropical light of Da Nang.  

The completion of the architecture of the museum is planned for end 2024.
