Cities in Vietnam and all over the world are experiencing unprecedented growth rates. The UN predicts that by 2030, 60 % of the global populations – currently increasing by 83 million per year – will live in cities. The pressure on cities must be managed with the strongest planning and foresight, as has been acknowledged by economists, sociologists, ecologist worldwide. Any lack of well-balanced and smart long-term planning will lead to unmanageable city landscapes, lost opportunities, and financial and social instability.
Quy Nhon has the unique opportunity with the ambitious masterplan ThiNai marsh masterplan to develop the city in a safe, dynamic and sustainable manner, thus positioning itself as an exception and leading example in Asia.
Drawing on its team of architects in Singapore and Vietnam, along with its extensive track-record in architectural and urban projects notably in France and Singapore, the team has created a masterplan which keeps in mind the accepted definition of sustainable development as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
