Annelise Porter
With 25 years of experience leading projects across Australia, the Middle East, Africa, and India, Annelise Porter brings a wealth of knowledge and cultural insight to her work. Her lived experience of diverse international cultures and traditions enriches her architectural approach, seamlessly blending global influences while honouring Australia’s unique culture and Indigenous heritage.
Annelise’s expertise spans a wide range of project types, from commercial, retail, and hospitality private developments to public educational institutions, and large-scale masterplanning. With dual qualifications in architecture and interior design, she takes a holistic, client-focused approach, ensuring multidisciplinary stakeholder engagement and delivering exceptional project quality with meticulous attention to detail and coordination.
Suzanne Ogge
Museum specialist and anthropologist
Suzanne Ogge completed her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) at the University of Melbourne in Social Anthropology and Fine Arts, followed a post-graduate certificate in Museum Studies from Deakin University (Melbourne) and a Masters in Ethnology at L’Ecole des hautes etudes en sciences sociales in Paris.
She worked for several years as an anthropologist in Australia for Native Title land claims with indigenous communities before joining UNESCO Headquarters’ Culture Sector in Paris as a heritage consultant in 1999, where for over a decade she was responsible for developing and managing operational projects in the fields of intangible and tangible heritage and museums, notably in Asia, the Arab States and the South Caucasus.
Upon relocating to Singapore in 2009, Suzanne joined studioMilou Singapore to develop the company’s heritage activities in Asia, and her role has since evolved to include directing the company with Jean-Francois Milou. Suzanne brings her specialization in heritage issues and management to the company, and a deep understanding and concern for the historical and community contexts of each project. Parallel to her role with the studio, Suzanne continues to carry out punctual consultancies in the Asia – Pacific region for UNECSO’s 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, with missions in several countries including Cambodia, China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mongolia and Nepal, North Korea and Timor-Leste.
Jean François Milou
Born in Niort in 1953, Jean-François Milou graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He founded studioMilou architecture in 1988 in Paris, where he developed an agency specializing in the reuse of old buildings, museums and major cultural projects. In France, he notably carried out, among other projects, the Musée des tumulus de Bougon in central western France, the Cite de la Mer in Cherbourg in Normandy, the National Automobile Museum in Mulhouse and the Carreau du Temple in Paris. Following an international competition, Jean-Francois Milou was selected to create the National Gallery of Singapore, and in 2009 created studio Milou Singapore in 2009. Since then, he also created the studio Milou Vietnam in 2017, where he received in 2015 the prize for the best international architect for the Colloquium Center for Inter-disciplinary Studies in Science and Education at Quy Nhon.
Trung Thanh Nguyen
Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, Trung Thanh Nguyen completed his Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) at the National University of Civil Engineering, Vietnam in 2008; followed on an attainment of Certificate in BIM Management from the Building & Construction Authority in Singapore on 2013.
After working for several years in Vietnam, Trung joined studioMilou Singapore in 2011 as a Senior Manager/ Senior Architectural Associate. Since then, he has been closely involved in the design and management of distinct, international award-winning architectural projects in studioMilou such as the National Gallery, Singapore and the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science & Education (ICISE) in Quy Nhơn, Vietnam.
With a high competency in project management and a keen eye for details, Trung has displayed rigorous and effective approach towards design resolutions and a solid experience in leading large-scale cultural projects in Vietnam and France, adding to his straightforward approach in managing consultants and contractors for effective collaboration.
Trung Nguyen is the principal of studioMilou Singapore and the managing director of studioMilou Vietnam. He is in charge of the design management of studioMilou in Southeast Asia and China.
